Man arrested for rape of girls

A 24-year-old Pea Ridge man was arrested for two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, twocounts of felony kidnapping, one count of felony rape and one count of felony sexual assault in the second degree.

Jeremy TylerRamsey, 24, Pea Ridge, was arrested by Pea Ridge police at 9:19 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, and booked into the Benton County Jail.

Ramsey’s arrest stems from areport in August from a 15-yearold girl who called HopeLine Abuse to talk about the rape.

The radio program provided by Dawson McAllister is a call-in radio show designed to meet the needs of teen-agers and adults, according to its web site. Any reported abuse is reported to a law enforcement agency. This incident was reported to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, which notified Pea Ridge Police.

The investigation revealed that two girls - ages 14 and 15 - had been given alcohol and drugs and been kept against their will. The incident reportedly occurred on July 15, 2011, at an apartment and a residence in town.
