CVT Towing is legal, according to Police Chief Tim Ledbetter, who said he received a letter from the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board on Wednesday, Dec.
12, stating that the application for non-consent towing business license and tow vehicle safety permit for “Ted Slaughter dba CVT Towing & Recovery” has been approved.
Three vehicles were listed on the application.
Four businesses operate from the lot on the corner of Weston and Slack streets, according to city records. When city officials learned that two ofthose businesses did not have state permits, the city business license was suspended. It had not been reinstated as of Monday afternoon, according toMayor Jackie Crabtree.
Metro Motors license was not valid; Pinnacle Motors is. The Transport company is legal, according to state records.
