PEA RIDGE — Clean out closets and garages to prepare for the citywide garage sale.

For the third year in a row, Gina Easterling is promoting the sale as a community service. Easterling, who regularly attended the city-widesale in Neosho, Mo., said she wanted to see something similar in her home town.

“We’re going to advertise the sales to open at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8,” Easterling said, but everybody may open any time they wish. There is no charge.

“If you need to get rid of stuff, or you’re looking forsomething, this is the time to do it. I think it’s cool to have this here,” Easterling said.

The city-wide cleanup hosted by the city is the following week with dumpsters set behind the former hardware store south of West Pickens Street to receive items too large for regular trash pickup.
