— Granny’s Quilts Auction Dinner and Auction will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Aug. 25, at the Pea Ridge High School, with the auction starting at 6:30 p.m. Price is $6 for adults, $4 for children and free for children 2 years of age and under.

The dinner will be pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, coleslaw, chips, pickle, homemade dessert and drink. There will be hot dogs for the children.

There will also be a drawing for a Frigidaire 26-cubic-feet refrigerator/freezer, side-by-side in stainless steel and 59-inch Samsung HD 1080P Plasma Flatscreen TV. Raffletickets will be sold for these two items. The raffle tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. Tickets will be for sale at Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge and also at the door.

Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

Gospel Singing slated

There will be a community Gospel Singing from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug.

25, at Derry Camp’s Auction Barn, 980 E. Pickens Road (Ark. Hwy. 72), Pea Ridge. Everyone is invited to bring an instrument and join in or just sit and listen. Bring light snacks, finger foods or dessert.

City-wide yard sale

A city-wide yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8. Residents of Pea Ridge are invited to have a yard sale. It will be advertised to begin at 7 a.m.

Pea Ridge fall clean-up

The annual fall clean-up is scheduled for 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, through Friday, Sept. 14, and 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

Dumpsters will be located at the city property behind the former hardware store. All participants need to bring proof of identification and proof of city residency (i.e. current paid water bill).

There will be a maximum of three trips perhousehold. Brush needs to be checked at location stated above and taken to the Fire Department substation. Items should be separated into three categories: metal, refuse and brush.

Booths available, volunteers needed

The 24th annual Pea Ridge Mule Jump is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 13 and includes halter-class mule events, barrel races, flag races, pole bending and mule jumping. Volunteers are needed for the committee. Vendor booth reservation forms and non-profit booth reservation forms are available at City Hall, 451-1101.
