— Doug Dunn

Doug Dunn, 61, of Rogers, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Bentonville. He was born in Eugene, Ore., on March 28, 1951.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Rosalee Fern Hayworth.

Survivors include his son, Douglas James Dunn Jr. of the home in Rogers; his daughter, Karman Rosalee Jane Dunn of the home in Rogers; five sisters, Janice Pawlikowski and husband, Steven, of Washington, Karen Reedy of Pea Ridge, Rita Nading of Avoca, Sherri Smith of Lowell and Terri Marheineke of Bella Vista; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Benton County Memorial Park’s Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.

Charles L. Higginbotham

Charles L. Higginbotham, 85, of Memphis, Tenn., died on July 25, 2012.

Mr. Higginbotham, affectionately known as “The Minister of Mints,” was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church since 1973, and a longtime Yokefellow Sunday School class member. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a retired clerk at the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Anne Higginbotham; one daughter, Suzanne and husband, David Dickey of Pea Ridge; one son, Eddie and wife, Kenya Higginbotham of Bartlett, Tenn.; siblings, Peggy Ross of Memphis, Tenn., George and wife, Betty Higginbotham of Pontotoc, Miss., and Randy andwife, Laurie Higginbotham of Memphis, Tenn.; sisterin-law, Beverly Black of Memphis, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Kyle and Heidi Higginbotham.

Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Memphis Funeral Home.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. at Bellevue Baptist Church in the Pollard Chapel on Saturday, July 28.

Eleanor Meyer

Eleanor Meyer, 90, of Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Pea Ridge, died July 20, at Las Cruces. She was born Jan. 8, 1922, at Cole Harbor, N.D., to Jacob Mittleider and Martha Mehloff Mittleider.

She moved to Pea Ridge in 1982 from Scott City, Kan., to make her home. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Meyer, in 2003; two sisters, Berniece Steinwand and Lillian West; one grandson; and one greatgrandson.

Survivors include two daughters, Evangeline Angle and husband, Terry,of Las Cruces and Sharon Barbee of Ely, Nev.; two brothers, Arvid Mittleider of Ellendale, N.D., and Arlo Mittleider of Paige, N.D.; three sisters, Evangeline Stuber of La Crescenta, Calif., Joan Degenstein of Minot, N.D., and Moranda Johnson of Harvey, N.D.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Graveside service was at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
