— Janice Joann Fair

Janice Joann Fair, 55, of Seligman, Mo., died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in herhome. She was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Bentonville, to J.W. and Dorothy (Mc-Donald) Wishon.

Janice grew up and received most of her elementary education in northwest Arkansas and then moved to Yuma, Ariz., where she finished her schooling.

For several years she owned and operated Sunburst Tan and Video and then the Bird Cage Pet Shop in Seligman. In 1992, she moved to Seligman to make her home. She was of the Baptist faith. Some of favorite pastimes were four-wheeling and boating.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time were her family.

She was united in marriage to Dan Fields, who preceded her in death. On May 23, 1990, in Yuma,Ariz., she married Jay Fair who preceded her in death on May 28, 2011. Also preceding her in death were her mother and a granddaughter, Alli Letts.

Survivors include her father; two sons, Jason Fields and his wife, Missy, of Seligman, Mo., and Danny Fields of Avoca; three daughters, Lori Letts and her husband, Brian, of Stark City, Mo., Christy Johnson of Rogers, and Loretta Howarth of Seligman, Mo.;

two brothers, Darrell Wishon and his wife, Velda, of Little Flock, Ark., and Ricky Wishon and his wife, Greta, of Afton, Okla.; three sisters, Catherine Underdown and her husband, David, of Green Forest, Ark., Judy Eastep and Art Kicbia of Florida and Shirley Chandler and her husband, Jerry, of Seligman, Mo.; several grandchildren; and severalgreat-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 22, at the J.W. Wishon home, 1301 Frost, Seligman, Mo. The family invites all friends and extended family to join them.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.

Donald Edward Locander

Donald Edward Hannemann Locander, 84, of Rogers, died Thursday,April 12, 2012. He was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to George and Victoria (Gabel)Hannemann.

He was a Navy veteran, serving in WWII, was a charter member of the WWII Memorial, a lifetime charter member of VFW Post 3031 in Rogers, life member and past commander of the American Legion Post 100 in Rogers, past member of Masonic Lodge 119 in Pea Ridge, 32nd-degree Mason and Shriner, life member DAV Chapter 53 in Bentonville, member Voiture Local 1277, Order of the Eastern Star Martha Chapter 215 in Rogers, member USS De HavenSailors Association, charter member Beaver Lake Power Squadron, former constable of Garfield Township (1974-1977) and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.

He loved to sail and worked in real estate since 1973.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty; and one daughter, Darla Reeves.

Survivors include his two children, Bonnie Sanchez of Chicago and Dale S. Locander and wife, Debbie, of Rogers; six grandchildren, Nina Francone and husband, John, of Gilbert, Ariz., Karen and Chris Sanchez of Chicago, Donald Scott Locander of Rogers, Jennifer Locander of Rogers and Nathan Reeves of Pea Ridge; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at the funeral home.

Services will be at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Alvirta Martin

Alvirta Martin, Lawton, Okla., died April 11, 2012, at her home, surrounded byher family. She was born in Cache, Okla., to Jimmie Benjamin and Hester Ida (Stidham) Fields.

She married Roy Victor Martin on Oct. 24, 1961, in Duncan, Okla. He died Oct. 31, 2005.

She worked for Sears for over 20 years, retiring in the Sears Credit Department. She was a member of the Sears Retirees Club, was an avid square dancer, ballroom dancer; she enjoyed her fashion, garage sales, was active with the mall walkers, was an exercise enthusiast and enjoyed traveling, most recently with trips to Branson.

Mrs. Martin was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers andsisters-in-law, Browder and Estelle Fields, Grady and Imogene Fields; and her special friend, Alfred Hennessee.

Survivors include her son, Jim Post of Cassville, Mo.; two daughters, Shirley Galloway and husband, Joe, of Lawton, Okla., and Gwen Conley and husband, Ted, of Garfield; five granddaughters, including Tammie Walker of Pea Ridge;

three grandsons; 11 greatgrandchildren including Dylan Walker, Colby Willett and Kelsey Willett, all of Pea Ridge; three great-great-grandchildren;

and numerous other greatgrandchildren and greatgreat-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Abe Deutschendorf, Lawton, officiating.

Burial was in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
