BENTON COUNTY — Granny’s Quilts of Love met at 9:30 a.m. March 20, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Judy Fortner opened the meeting with a prayer. Eighteen members were present.
Several get-well cards for our members were sent around to sign.
Elda Wenzel will check on a few catering places for pulled pork for the dinner in August. More discussion continued about the dinner.
Judy Fortner advised 30 quilts were made from the ladies in her church to honor the memory of Alice Henson’s birthday the first of March. We would also like to honor the memory of Alice Henson at our dinner.
The total number of quilts made is 13,157.
The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, located at 1300 N. Davis St. in Pea Ridge.
