Library Notes: Stop by the library and purchase a book

— Your traveling librarian is out of town again - back to St. Louis to spend time with my newest grandson, Camden. Took a lot of armtwisting by his parents to get me to consent to spend time with them.

Lots of good things happed at the library this past week. Part of a book order came in and all those books are on the shelves - or checked out already!

Six titles are still on back order but I hope they will have arrived by the time I return.

A long time patron of the library stopped in to make a large donation to the building fund. Several smaller donations were made this week also. Thank you to everyone for your generosity. Every donation helps.

The board and I, alongwith the city building inspector, met with the architect and are getting ever closer to a final set of drawings. This has truly been a learning experience for me. So many details - how many bookshelves, how tall, where will they be positioned, where will the tables and chairs be located - all these details will determine the placement of lights, etc.

We think you will be pleased with the new library.

A very nice gentleman stopped by the library in response to my request for helping in taking nails outof some boards at the new building. When I stopped by the library on Friday morning he was busy with the hammer. Anyone who wants to join him should contact the library or go to the new library building around 8 a.m. and talk with Corey.

Some day your children and grandchildren will talk about how you had a hand in the new Pea Ridge Library.

The library is getting so many book donations so now I am begging you to come in and buy a couple of books. Some are new or nearly new and would make great gifts - buy a book for a shut-in or someone in a care facility.

The public use computer is getting a lot of use so if you need computer time, it would be best if you call andreserve a time.

Dottie Adriano will be filling in for me for the next two weeks so take some time from your digging, planting and weeding to stop by and say hello. Better yet, reward yourself by checking out a good book after you finish your taxes!

Thank you to all of you who make my job so enjoyable.
