PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department this week include:

Three warrants served:

◊9/20 Trevin Putnam, 22, Anderson, Mo., failure to appear

◊9/23 Johnny Cowan, 40, Bella Vista, contempt failure to pay fines and costs

◊9/25 Pabiola Bautista, 24, Rogers, contempt failure to pay fines and costs

Other incidents include: Tuesday, Sept. 20

9 a.m. A resident of Chitwood reported her 16-year-old son missing, but his car was in the driveway. It was believed he was with relatives. By 3:30 p.m. a police officer from Noel, Mo., confirmed the youth was in Noel and was seeking emancipation. By Sept. 23, he had not contacted his mother and was still listed as missing.

11:15 a.m. A resident on Blair Circle reported finding a loose dog. Police authorized her taking it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

6 p.m. An employee from Marvin’s IGA requested a welfare check on amale asleep in a car in the parking lot.

Police found the man OK, but learned there were outstanding warrants on him. He was arrested and taken to the Benton County Jail.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

4:48 a.m. A one-vehicle on Arkansas Highway 265 in which Thomas McPhillips, 69, Seligman, Mo., ran off the road.

11:06 a.m. Fraudulent use of a prescription reported by a pharmacist at Fred’s Pharmacy.The prescription had been copied and had already been filled at a pharmacy in Missouri. The doctor who issued the prescription didn’t want to pursue charges. It was discovered the person to whom the prescription was issued had two outstanding warrants for his arrest and was on probation.

8:30 p.m. A resident on Zachary Street reported a door-to-door salesman who made her uncomfortable. Police were unable to locate the salesman. Thursday, Sept. 22

12:50 a.m. Suspicious circumstances reported by a resident using the laundromat who said there was a pool of blood on the floor. The investigation revealed that the red substance was not blood.

1:15 a.m. Alarm at Fred’s.

1 p.m. Received a report from school officials that a 14-year-old girl had left school.While searching for her, police saw two youths walking along the drainage ditch through Standing Oaks.

When the police officer approached the youths, they ran away. Police were assisted by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies in searching, but were unable to locate the youths.

Friday, Sept. 23

11:15 a.m. A school official reported that a 7-year-old male student reported that an 8-year-old male student had threatened and chased him with a knife the day before at the residence of the 8-year-old. Police spoke to the parents. The incident was reported to the Department of Human Services.

3 p.m. A 40-year-old female resident on Rains Street reported a physicaldisturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Andrew Russell, 18, Pea Ridge, for domestic battery III. Russell was combative when police confronted him, according to the report.

9:28 p.m. A 17-year-old female resident on Blair Circle reported a physical disturbance saying she and her boyfriend were fighting. Kevon Sturkey, 18, Pea Ridge, was arrested for domestic battery III.

Saturday, Sept. 24

2:10 a.m. A 52-year-old resident of N. Curtis Avenue reported her 17-yearold daughter had bitten her during a physical fight. No arrests were made.

Sunday, Sept. 25

5 a.m. During routine patrol, police discovered an open door at the Intermediate School. Nothing unusual was discovered. The door was secured.

2:55 p.m. A resident on Humphrey Street reported a residential burglary.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the husband had intentionally messed up the room as a joke.

5:18 p.m. Shane Robert Garner, 20, of Pea Ridge, by BCSO for two counts of contempt, harassing communications and third degree assault on a family or household member.

Friday, Sept. 23

3:55 p.m. Andrew Michael Russell, 18, of Pea Ridge, by Pea Ridge Police for domestic battering in the third degree.

7:02 p.m. Morgan Leigh Fisher, 34, of Avoca, by BCSO for driving while intoxicated.
