PEA RIDGE — Enjoying the small community flavor in Pea Ridge, Gina Easterling is once again coordinating a city-wide yard sale encouraging all her neighbors to host a sale on Saturday, Sept. 10.
“Pea Ridge is such a small community.
This is kind of a meet your neighbor event - get out in the community,” Easterling said.
She and a friend began the event last year patterning it after one she had attended in Neosho.
“If you need to get rid of stuff - or you’re looking for something - this is the time to do it. I think it’s cool to have this here,” Easterling said.
Easterling printed flyers and posted them around town, she called the banks and the mayor and made a Facebook page advertising the event. She is advertising it from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. but said everyone is welcome to have theirs during whatever hours they choose.
The city’s fall clean-up is the following week from Tuesday, Sept. 13, to Saturday, Sept. 17. It is provided for city residents to dispose of items not normally allowed in normal household garbage pickup.
