Fall Festival and candy drive

The primary school is having a candy drive for their third annual Fall Festival which is from 5:30-7 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 25. Admission is $5 per child, children 2 and under are free.

All money raised at the festival goes back into the classrooms. We are asking each child to donate one bag of individually wrapped candy. The candy donations are due by Oct. 21. For information on donating a baked good for the cake walk or an item for the silent auction, call the school at 451-8183.

Pennies collected

Fifth-grade students in Pea Ridge will be collecting pennies to be donated to theRyan Mondy Foundation.

The goal is to collect 2,100 pennies by Friday, Oct. 21.

The pennies will be taken to A D.A.S.H. to Remember, Saturday, Oct. 22, and donated.

Box Tops for Education

Friday, Oct. 21, is the last day to bring in Box Tops for the first mailing of the school year.

Day of Caring

Pea Ridge Primary and Intermediate Schools have a lot of projects and need volunteers. Saturday, Oct. 22, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Lunch and childcare are provided for volunteers. This event qualifies for the Walmart event VAP. If 50 Walmart employees volunteer,Walmart donates $5,000 to the schools.

Arkansas Tech open house

RUSSELLVILLE - High school students and other individuals interested in learning more about the educational opportunities at Arkansas Tech University are invited to the 15th annual Tech Open House on from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center in Russellville.

Representatives from every degree program offered at Tech and the University Honors program will beavailable to answer questions and speak with prospective students. Personnel from admissions, financial aid, residential life and academic advising will also be on hand to provide information.

Prospective students who attend Tech Open House will receive complimentary tickets to see the Homecoming football game between Arkansas Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. that evening.

The Tech Open House door prize will be a Fall 2012 tuition scholarship to Arkansas Tech. The scholarship winner will be announced at halftime of the Tech-SEOSU game.
