Farmer’s Mutual fetes 100 years

— Farmers Mutual Insurance of Rogers is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with an Open House 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the office at 703 W. Poplar, in Rogers.

“We are having a ribbon cutting at 10:30 to dedicate the new building and everyone is welcome, said Brad Fortner, manager. “Farmers Mutual of Rogers was formed in 1909 in Little Flock and received its charter in 1911 as a Farm Mutual Aid Association - aMutual Insurance company to serve the rising needs of Benton County’s Rural Farming population.”

Pea Ridge native Keith Escue was the manager for many years.

Fortner, of Garfield, is a native of northwest Arkansas native.

“Staying true to its roots, Farmers Mutual still insures rural farms in Northwest Arkansas for its members and remains a locally owned business - the oldest business in Rogers,” Fortner said.
