Delta Kappa Gamma

The Delta Kappa Gamma International Editorial Board is pleased to announce the publication of the reflection “Wild and Free,” by Ms. Wanda Roe, in the Fall 2011 issue of The Delta Kappa Gamma Bulletin. Roe, a resident of Pea Ridge, is a member of Beta Pi Chapter, Ark.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is a professional honorary society of women educators with over 104,000 members, in approximately 2,703 chapters, in 17 countries. It was founded by Dr. Annie Webb Blanton, a professor at the University of Texas, Austin, and 11 other educators from throughout Texas.

Granny’s Quilts of Love

Granny’s Quilts of Love met Sept. 20, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. There was one guest, Carol Wall. Theladies cut 280 quilt kits.

The total number of items made as of the September meeting is 12,336 quilts, 3,347 pillows and 1,629 hats.

The next meeting will be 9:30 a.m. Oct. 18, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis St.

As always, the meetings are open to the public, everyone is invited to attend.
