PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police this week include: Tuesday, Sept. 27

6:40 a.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge High School; school staff was on site.

8 a.m. A stray dog was reported by a resident on Hazelton Road. A black Lab puppy was found, picked up and taken to Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

8:30 a.m. A parent of a 15-year-old girl reported her daughter was being bullied at the high school and that she had her nose broken in a fight with the 14-year-old girl who was bullying her.

Police investigated and forwarded the information to the county prosecuting attorney.

4 p.m. A purse was reported stolen.

Linda Kelly, 53, of Hutchison, Kan., reported she had left her purse on a table at McDonalds and when she returned, it was gone. The ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of:

◊Stevie Weston, 23, of Garfield, for felony theft of property and on warrants from both Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Barry County, Mo., Sheriff’s Office; and

◊Cara Larson Rabon, 50, of Seligman, Mo., for felony theft by receiving.

Some of the property was recovered.

8:40 p.m. Assisted Little Flock police concerning a 12-year-old female supposedly walking to an aunt’s house in Pea Ridge. Police checked the aunt’s residence and determined no one was one.

9:30 p.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge Intermediate School; building secure.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

5:15 p.m. Suspicious circumstance reported in the parking lot at the Pea Ridge High School. Investigation resulted in the he arrest of Ronald Goff, 46, Bentonville, for public intoxication and driving on a suspended driver’s license, as well as a warrant from Rogers.

4:30 p.m. An off-duty officer witnessed a fight in progress at the City Park and called for back-up. Three juvenile males - ages 13, 14 and 17 - were given warnings prohibiting trespassing at any city park. In addition, the 14-year-old male and the 17-year-old male were both cited for battery III. The 17-year-old was reportedly seen by police earlier giving cigarettes to juveniles.

Thursday, Sept. 29

11:40 a.m. Attempted suicide reported at a residence on Conrad Street.

Located a 67-year-old male who was struggling with cancer; he was found safe.Weapon was secured.

Friday, Sept. 30

9 a.m. A resident of Brooke Circle reported a possible fraud involving telephone calls from someone advising him he had won money, but had to send processing fees. He did send $13,500, but did not hear back from the callers.

9:30 a.m. A resident of Carr Street reported vandalism to her mailbox that happens early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

12:48 p.m. The parent of a 13-yearold boy reported her son had been beaten up and threatened while at Pea Ridge Intermediate School. As a result of the investigation, police cited a 13-year-old male student for battery III and terroristic threatening.

3 p.m. Traffic stop at Ark. Highway 94/It’ll Do Road, resulted in serving a failure to appear warrant on Austin Gibson, 17, of Pea Ridge.

6:35 p.m. Received a report of several juveniles possibly passed out behind the high school. Police found three juveniles - 11-year-old female, 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old female there.The boy said he was simply resting.

Saturday, Oct. 1

3:30 a.m. Requested to assist Little Flock police at a disturbance at Lost Springs apartments and assisted with an arrest for domestic battery.

Sunday, Oct. 2

1:20 a.m. Alarm at Fred’s Store, a representative arrived, building was secure.

8:44 a.m. A resident on Weston Street requested a welfare check of two dogs at a residence on Weston Street.

Police found the owner of the animals had been arrested and was in the Benton County Jail. The dogs were taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

3:50 p.m. A loose dog was reported on North Harvey Wakefield Street. Police were unable to locate the dog.

7:09 p.m. A resident on John Montgomery Circle reported a possible disturbance. Officers investigated, but no charges were filed.
