Teen gave alcohol to boy

— While investigating the return of a stolen bicycle, police learned of an 11-year-old boy who had been given alcohol and tobacco by a 17-year-old male who was on probation.

On Saturday, a resident of McNair Place called police to report the return of a stolen bicycle.

He reported that his son’s bicycle, which he had reported stolen Friday, was returned. He told police he returned home from a football game and found the bicycle. He also told police that his 11-year-old son had been throwing up and smelled like alcohol.

The boy told his father he had gone to the CityPark with a 12-year-old boy and Cody Winn, 17, and that Winn had given him a beer to drink and tobacco to dip, but he got sick once he returned home.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested Winn for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and minor in possession of alcohol.
