— PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department this week include: Tuesday, March 22

1 p.m. Responded to a business on N. Curtis Ave. regarding a 911 hang-up call, and were advised it was accidental.

7:15 a.m. Responded to Pea Ridge Intermediate School regarding a 50-year-old female who had fallen and had back pain. She was transported by ambulance.

10:15 a.m. A resident reported she had made a purchase atWhite Oak Station and accidentally left her wallet on the counter.The incident is under investigation.

11:30 a.m. A resident on Lee Town Drive reported a medium black and white dog running loose. Police were unable to locate the dog.

12:20 p.m. A resident on Charles Street reported a small white dog running loose. Police located the dog’s owner, Julie Drake, Pea Ridge, and cited her for dog at large.

3:35 p.m. A woman called in that she was having chest pains. She stopped her car at Messiah Lutheran Church on Arkansas Highway 94 to wait for the ambulance.

8:38 p.m. A resident on Smith Street reported harassing communications through text messages. While police were investigating, another text arrived accusing the complainant of calling and harassing. Both parties were advised to stop or charges would be filed.

11:37 p.m. A resident at an apartment on Wade Lane reported hearing someone outside her front door. Police investigated, but found no one and advised there were strong winds at the time.

Wednesday, March 23

8 a.m. While on a motorist assist on South Curtis Avenue, police discovered that the driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants against him out of Rogers. The driver, John Bevill, 34, of Washburn, Mo., was arrested and taken to Rogers.

8:41 a.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Intermediate School. The doors were found to be secure.

8:14 p.m. A resident of East Harris dialed 911 to report that a male stopped by his residence earlier in reference to a dispute.The subject was advised not to use 911 for non-emergency calls.

8:30 p.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Primary School. Police found a male teacher coming out of a door. The building was found to be secure.

11:25 p.m. A barking dog was reported at Bowen and Patton streets. Police were unable to locate the dog.

Thursday, March 24

8:40 a.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Intermediate School; notified by the alarm company that it was a false alarm. The building was found to be secure.

9:03 a.m. Police picked up a small tannish-brown dachshund on Smith Street. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

8:15 p.m. Requested by juvenile probation to locate a 16-year-old male at his residence on Charles Street on afelony warrant.The subject was located and taken to juvenile probation.

9:15 p.m. An agency assist with Little Flock police involving individuals detained atWoods Lane.

8:20 p.m. A battery was reported to have occurred at Sonic drive-in restaurant involving a 17-year-old female employee who reported that while she was delivering an order to a gray vehicle, a female passenger in the back seat began cursing at her and threw a drink back on the girl. When the manager attempted to confront the woman, she attempted to kick at the manager. The incident is still under investigation.

Friday, March 25

12:05 a.m. Observed two male juveniles walking near the laundromat on N. Curtis Avenue and stopped to check on them. They were given a verbal warning about the curfew time and directed to return home.

12:20 a.m. A fire alarm at a residence on Benton Drive in which the caller advised he had changed the batteries in his smoke detector and it wouldn’t quite beeping and he could smell smoke.The scene was turned over to the fire chief upon his arrival.

8:40 a.m. Requested by Pea Ridge EMS to assist with a fall victim at a residence on Hickman Road.

9:18 a.m. A resident on smith Street reported a medium black dog running loose in the area. It was located and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

5:57 p.m. A resident of North Davis Street reported that she wanted her landlord to put in a new water heater.

Police informed the resident that it was a civil matter.

6:42 p.m. Assisted Benton County Sheriff’s deputies at a residence on Bussey Lane and arrested Carl Prince, 38, Pea Ridge, on valid warrants for Pea Ridge and Benton County. The Pea Ridge warrant was for contempt failure to pay fines and costs.

Saturday, March 26

1:25 a.m. Requested to assist BCSO at a disturbance at a residence on White Oak Ridge Road.

10:55 a.m. A resident reported seeing an older male stop by a residence on N. Davis Street and talk to three young children. The incident is under investigation.

10:07 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported on Turner Way involving Callyn Snyder, 20, Pea Ridge, who apparently struck the rear end of a vehicle belonging to Christopher Olson with her 2005 Camry.

Sunday, March 27

12:15 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop on Arkansas Highway 94 and Sugar Creek Road, arrested John Gregory, 30, of Garfield, on a felony warrant from McDonald County and driving on a suspended driver’s license. The passenger, Courtney Honsinger, 25, Garfield, was cited for possession of a controlled substance.

6:33 p.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Primary School. Police met a male teacher who reported another teacher had left and set of the alarm.
