LITTLE ROCK — A Garfield man was in the Benton County Jail Tuesday in connection with a varietyof sexual misconduct crimes.
Thomas P. Carr, 29, of 11839 Ventris Road was arrested Friday in connection with two counts of rape, two counts of producing, directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child and one count of misdemeanor bestiality.
A report to the Arkansas State Police Child Abuse Hotline led investigatorsfrom the Benton County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Carr, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The charges involve two children, ages 6 and 7, according to investigators.
Deputies said a search of Carr’s residence revealed a computer and other evidence pertaining to the charges.
The evidence was seized, sheriff’s officials said.
Carr was being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
The investigation is continuing.
Other charges against Carr are possible and other arrests in the case are also possible, authorities said.
