4X4 Poker Run

SELIGMAN, Mo. - The Seligman Chamber of Commerce will host an all 4x4 Poker Run on Saturday, March 26, starting at Ruby’s Event Park in Seligman, Mo., on Missouri Highway 37 South, between Freedom Bank and Ruby’s store. Poker hand will be $20 per player. Sign in will be 10 a.m. to noon. Run starts at noon and ends at 4 p.m. Winners and drawings at 5 p.m.; first, second and worst hand prizes. All 4x4’s must be street legal and have insurance. Free event sticker for those who enter.

Community Dance

SHELL KNOB, Mo. - The Shell Knob Lions Club will host a community dance from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Shell Knob Community Building, featuring Evelyn Lock and the Loxburg Country Band. Doors open at 6 p.m. with concessions available. Future dances will be held the fourth Saturday of every month.

There is a $4 cover charge.

No alcohol or smoking.

Clothing Drive

ROGERS - Mauricesat the Scottsdale Center, 269 N. 46th St., Rogers, is holding a clothing drive to benefit the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter.

The clothing drive began March 1, and continues through Thursday, March 31. Customers can drop off their donations anytime during store hours 10 a.m.

to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Items needed include: gently used women’s and children’s clothing. Donators will receive a coupon good for 20 percent off any one regular-priced Maurice’s item for each donation.

Coupons are limited to 10 per person.

Seligman Train Ride

SELIGMAN, Mo.

- Seligman Chamber of Commerce will have their spring train ride on Saturday, May 14. The Arkansas and Missouri train will come to Seligman, Mo., and pick up passengers and go to Van Buren and back. Passengers will travel though the Boston Mountains, cross three high trestles, go though Winslow tunnel and cross rivers 15 times. They will get to shop in Van Buren approximately three hours.

This is an all day trip, and will be Arts and Crafts days in Van Buren. Snacks will be given on the way down and back.

Tickets are: first class and caboose, $80 each adult, seniors 62 and older $72 each, child $35 each;

vintage cars, $60 each, seniors $54 each, child $35 each.

Pancake Day

BELLA VISTA - A fundraiser for area agencies is set for 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday, May 14th, at First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista. From Town Center take 340 West to Boyce Drive.

All you can eat pancakes, with a serving of sausage or ham and coffee or milk is $5 per person. Proceeds used to provide financial support for 14 area agencies.
