Men of many trades

PEA RIDGE — Outfitting one of two new police cars - 2011 Chevrolet Impalas - and saving the department money, Sgt. Ryan Walker and Cpl. Mitch Brown added lights, sirens and radios to equip the two newest additions to the Pea Ridge Police Department fleet. One of the vehicles was purchased with money from the impact fees dedicated to the department.

“We’re always trying to find ways to economically run the department. Two of our officers have been involved in the past couple of years in equipping the vehicles with radio equipment and lights,” Police Chief Tim Ledbetter said.

“Thanks to their dedication and knowledge, we can save money instead of out-sourcing the jobs.”
