Dave Lewis of the Benton County Historical Society will present “Van Winkle Hollow and the War in Northwest Arkansas” Saturday at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area Visitor Center. The 2 p.m.
presentation is free, and is part of the Friends of Hobbs Speaker Series. Lewis’ talk will concentrate on the battles of Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove, and the importance of Van Winkle Hollow in the complicatedmilitary maneuvers of the battles, according to a press release.
The Visitor Center is located on Arkansas Hwy. 12 east of Rogers, just east of the War Eagle Road intersection.
