PEA RIDGE — Johnnie and Laverne Watson of Pea Ridge will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 19, in the community room of the Pea Ridge Emergency Services building.

The former Laverne Holland and Johnnie Watson were married March 21, 1952, in Mooreland, Okla.

The couple has three children: the late Roy Lyn Watson, Darrel Watson and his wife, Anna, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and Denise Sharpton and her husband, Charles, of Raymore, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
