Charley Clarke’s resurgent Blackhawks dropped the hammer on Subiaco Academy in posting a 72-53 victory in the opening round then held off conference rival Farmington 57-55 to advance to the championship game of the 4A North Regional at Pottsville.. The game with Subiaco was in doubt for most of the contest until the fourth quarter when the ’Hawks exploded for 21 points with their opponents managing only 8. Senior Kasey Cooper stroked three field goals in the fourth period while sinking six of six free throws to spark the surge.
