PEA RIDGE — Art students Dillon Brouse, 2nd grade; Mason Murillo, 1st grade; and Jessica Gibson, kindergarten, show off their awards with their teacher, John Gibson.

The three were among five Pea Ridge Primary School students honored at a reception at the Fayetteville Public Library for being among the top artists in the Northwest Arkansas AAE Region Art Show competition. Tanner Grant, kindergarten, and Elijah Austin, first grade, placed second and third respectively.

The students were honored at a reception hosted by Dawn Elizabeth Graham of Springdale, chairman of the Northwest council. First place winners will have their art displayed in Little Rock for the next several months with the individual artists to be honored at the Arkansas Studies Institute this May.
