PEA RIDGE — McTier nominated

First-grade student Morgan McTier was nominated as one of 12 national finalists for the Artsonia Art Student of the Week Award last week.

In national ballotingheld online from Feb. 23-26, McTier finished third in voting, behind eventual top vote getter Hailey of Lincoln, Neb., and runner-up Tierney of Brick, N.J. Other student finalists were from Michigan,Maryland, Wisconsin (2), Mississippi, Illinois (2), Ohio and Virginia.

McTier will receive a certificate and medal for her selection. Her work is displayed at www.artsonia.com/pearidge2.
