PEA RIDGE NATIONAL MILITARY PARK TRAILS OPEN

— The horse and hiking trails at Pea Ridge National Military Park have now been re-opened.

The park staff has removed trees that posed a threat to the visiting public. Although the trails are largely open for use, there are still sections of the trails that must remain closed due to the hazards. Where these areas occur, the trail has been re-routed around the hazards. Work will continue on improving the trails and the park staff ask that visitors continue to report any downed trees, hanging limbs, or excessively muddy areas to staff at the Visitor Center.

Visitors are still encouraged to call the park at 451-8122 prior to their arrival to check the status of the trails.
