Mary Ann Escajeda

Mary Ann Escajeda, 57, of Rogers, died June 20, at her home. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to J.T. and Susie (Mitchell) Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Jesus Escajeda, of the home; children, Jesse Escajeda and wife, Jessica, of Centerton, Samantha Tygart and husband, Matt, of Rogers, Javier Escajeda and wife, Elisha, of Pea Ridge; sister, Marty Ballard of Bentonville; brothers, Tony Davis of Rogers, Roger Davis of Wyoming;

grandchildren, Hunter, Olivia, Brittney, Heather, Connor, Avery, Evan, Cassidy, Samantha and Tony.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Janett Dee Fisher

Janett “Jordan” Dee Fisher, 65, of Key West, Fla., died Saturday, June 11, in Tallahassee, Fla. On this day, her husband, Tommy D. Fisher, also died. She was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Boulder, Colo., to Cecilia and Virgil Green.

She grew up in California and moved to Pea Ridge, Ark., in her teens. She was married to, and later divorced, Sherman Hofacker; they had two children, Timothy and Misty.

In 1989, Janett met and fell in love with Tommy.

They were married on Dec. 8, 1990. They spent their life together fulfilling their dream of sailing the seas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include herson, Timothy Hofacker and life partner, Faye Steenblock, of Bella Vista;

daughter, Misty Knighten and husband, Eugene, of Hot Springs; stepdaughter, Jill Hoelzer and husband, Tim, of Bangor, Maine;

stepdaughter, Jennifer Girard of Bangor, Maine;

six grandchildren, Ben Bruner, Haley, Olivia and Carson Knighten, William and Matthew Hoelzer; her sisters and brothers, Mary Ann and Dick Goodrow, Paula Pineda, Cathy and Mike Austin, Stephen Green, David and Valeria Green, Rosemary and Johnny Goines; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Janett and Tommy will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Bentonville, Ark.

The will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Lois Ionia Johansen

Lois Ionia Johansen died Tuesday, June 21, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. Lois was born Sept. 11, 1935, to Ora and Agnes Culver in a small town in Michigan.

She worked at the old St.

Mary’s Hospital in Rogers in the nutrition services department for more than 22 years and retired at the age of 72.

She was married to James Boomer Johansen, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Renee Smith of Texas and Diana Symons of Rogers, Ark.; one son, John Johansen of Garfield;

a brother, Robert Culver of Lake O’Dessa, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Leslie Dawn Conner, Nicholas James Johansen, Michael Richard Conner and John Russell Johansen.

The family has decided to donate her body to science care to continue to help others in their knowledge and pursuits to become doctors and nurses.

As of this time no memorial is scheduled. One will be held for family and close friends at a later date.

Hazel F. Jones

Hazel F. Jones, 78 of Rogers, died June 27, in Rogers.

She was born April 18, 1933, in Rogers, to William Fred and Stella Maye Garven Pollock.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Jones.

Survivors include her children Roy Jones of Ocala, Fla., Karen Wright of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sharon Musiak of Radcliff, Ky., Barbara Barber of Rogers, Judy Nickel of Fairbanks, Alaska, Brenda Jones of Silvercliff, Colo., Ronald Jones of Rogers; a brother Kenneth Pollock of Rogers;

two sisters, Freda Fletcher of Pea Ridge and Imajean Thompson of Bentonville;

14 grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers with pastor Jo Jones officiating.

Private interment will be in Benton Memorial ParkCemetery.

Jerry Ralph Kitterman

Jerry Ralph Kitterman, 72, died June 23, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.

He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Grainola, Okla., to Ralph Albert and Bertha Alberta(Johnson) Kitterman.

He was a 1956 graduate of Rogers High School. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the submarine USS Becuna. After returning home from the Navy, he moved to West Fork, Ark. He was an employee of Standard Register Co. in Fayetteville for 43 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith.

While living in West Fork, he was an active member of the volunteer fire department. During his time there, he also served for a period as city clerk and worked with the Boy Scouts. He moved to Lowell in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents;

brothers-in-law, Thomas Fletcher, Aaron, Ross, and Robert LeRoy Schopp; and his sister-in-law, Linda Kitterman.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruth Schopp Kitterman, of the home; two sons, Allen andhis wife, Rachel, of Mount Vernon, Ind., and Joe of Lowell; two brothers, Ben Kitterman of Rogers and Bob Kitterman of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Ruth Fletcher of Overland Park, Kan., and Bonnie and her husband, Jim Scott, of Bella Vista; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jake and Virginia Stokes of Rogers, Frances Schopp of Rogers, and Catherine Little of Anthony, Kan.; four grandsons, Joshua and his wife, Courtney, of Fayetteville, Nicholas and his wife, Leanne, of Centerton, Garrett and Grady of Mount Vernon, Ind.; one greatgranddaughter, Abby; two stepgrandchildren, Noora Parker and Dante Rodriguez; and one great-grandson on the way, Conner Kitterman.

Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 27, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.

The funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Callison-Lough, with the Revs. Steven Johnson and Randy Burris officiating.

Interment followed at Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR 72762.

Arrangements were under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home.

Harvey Grady Sims

Harvey Grady Sims, 55, of Bella Vista, died Saturday, June 18, at Northwest Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1955, in Wichita, Kan., to Grady Sims andVerginia McNelly Sims.

He served in the United States Air Force for six years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Hazel McNelly; his father, Grady Sims;

and a son, Francis (Frank) Sims.

Survivors include his wife, Hope Sims of Bella Vista; three daughters, Cindy Sims of Bella Vista, Amy Hall and Kristy Daniel of Tennessee; a daughter-inlaw, Abby Sims of Gravette; his mother, Verginia Sims Warren of Bentonville; one brother, Steven Sims and wife, Kathy, of Centerton;

two sisters, Jan Whittle and husband, Rick, and Diane Price, all of Bentonville; one stepsister, Tammy Warren of Pea Ridge; two stepdaughters, Kesha and Kandis Driscoll, all of Tulsa; two stepsons, Kenrick Driscolland wife, Tina, and Kirk Driscoll, all of Bentonville;

four grandsons; and seven granddaughters; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A private family viewing was held from 7 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, June 18, at Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.

Cremation followed.

A memorial service for family and friends was held at the family farm, located at 8658 Spanker Creek Rd. at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011.
