PEA RIDGE — A woman was injured Tuesday shortly before noon when she failed to negotiate a curve on Benton County 40 west of Pea Ridge.

Pea Ridge ambulance personnel treated her at the scene and transported her to Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville.

Damon Anderson of Pea Ridge, who said he used to be a first responder for Northeast Benton County Volunteer Fire Department, was the first person on the scene, called 911 and the woman’s fiancee, he said. The accident was investigated by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies.
