Chicken-in-a-bag

GARFIELD - NEBCO Fire/EMS “Chicken-In-ABag” fundraiser is set for 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9. “Chicken-in-a-Bag,” may be picked up in the NEBCO Community Center parking lot, right behind the new Garfield City Park, on U.S.

Hwy. 62, Garfield. The chicken halves are $5 each, with all proceeds going to the NEBCO Fire/EMS general fund. For information, contact Don Berndt at 359-3134.

Benton County Democrats meet

BENTONVILLE - Phil Pumphrey, executive director of Ozark Regional Transit, will discuss the benefits of county public transportation with the Benton County Democrats at noon Monday, June 27, at Bentonville Clarion Hotel. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. The buffet is $12 per person.

American Legion

BELLA VISTA - The American Legion Post 341, Bella Vista, will host a spaghetti dinner, talent show and silent auction to raisemoney for their building fund from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Ambassadors for Christ Academy, 8579 W. Ford Springs Rd., off of County Road 40.

A limited number of acts will be entered into the talent show, which will pay cash prizes for the top three acts. Tickets are $20 a couple or $15 per person. To donate, enter, or buy tickets, call 899-3267.
