Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department this week include:

Friday, June 3

4:50 p.m. Two-vehicle accident on Slack and Townsend Way involving vehicles driven by Jordan Vierra, 19, of Pea Ridge, and Susan Duffy, 46, of Pea Ridge.Vierra was cited for defective brakes.

5:28 p.m. Four juvenile males - two 11 years old and two 14 years old - were cited for shoplifting from Fred’s after police were notified of a shoplifter apprehended by an employee and other boys who fled.

The boys were apprehended by police.

6:24 p.m. A resident of Lynn Drive complained that as he was walking his dog in the area of Hoffman Drive, a mediumsized black dog came out of a back yard and attacked his dog. Police made several attempts to contact the dog’s owner, but were unsuccessful. The incident is still under investigation.

11:37 p.m. Police were called to the area of Kay Lynn and Hallack in reference to a reckless driver, whom they were unableto locate. Police were called to the scene again at 12:28 a.m. and located a vehicle matching the description at a residence on Hallack Lane. The person believed to be the driver of the vehicle, Steven Reed, 27, of Pea Ridge, appeared to be intoxicated and was listed as on parole. He was arrested for a parole violation.

Saturday, June 4

12:05 a.m. Requested to back-up Benton County Sheriff’s deputies at a disturbance at a residence on Wilkerson Road. Police stood by until another deputy arrived on the scene.

8:35 a.m. A resident from O.D. Bancroft reported her 30-year-old husband was missing and that she hadn’t seen him since 5 p.m. Wednesday. Police contacted his sister who said she had seen him and talked to him on the telephone.

8:56 a.m. A two-vehicle accident on West Pickens west of Hayden Road involving vehicles driven by Steven Johnson, 52, Garfield, and Andrea Shaw, 39, Pea Ridge.

1:30 p.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge HighSchool. Police found a teacher on the scene and the building secure.

4:17 p.m. A one-vehicle accident in which a vehicle driven by Rosie Roberts, 72, of Rogers, was backed into a gas meter.

4:46 p.m. Alarm, Pea Ridge Middle School. The building was secure.

5:03 p.m. Alarm, Pea Ridge Middle School. Police spoke to the principal. The building was secure.

Sunday, June 5

11:30 a.m. Alarm, Pea Ridge High School, no representative, building secure.

Monday, June 6

10:20 a.m. Alarm, Legacy Self Storage, a representative said the alarm was set off accidentally.

9:50 p.m. While investigating a report of a reckless driver in Givens Subdivision, police located a white Grand Am driven at a high rate of speed and occupied by several teen-age girls who were yelling at four teen-age boys who were walking down the side of the street. The boys yelled profanities at the girls. Two of the boys, both 14 years old, were cited for curfew violation.
