Art of students on display in capital city

— Of all the youth art work on display in Little Rock this summer, there is a common thread running through a good many of the works. The most art on display this summer in the capital city are from artists from Pea Ridge.

Among the 78 works on youth art on display at the Arkansas Studies Institute building in Little Rock, three were done by students of Pea Ridge Primary School. Distributed throughout the 48 artworks on display at the Witt Stephens Arkansas Nature Center located near the Rivermarket Pavillion not far from the ASI building, are 14 student works by students from both the Primary and Intermediate schools in Pea Ridge.

Dillon Brouse, Jessica Gibson and Mason Murillo were the student whose art is on display at the ASI building.

They were first place winners at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Art Show in Fayetteville and were selected for the Little Rock display. The other students were there as winners of the Collaboration of the Arts Festival, a statewide art contest with “Arkansas Wildlife” as the theme of this year’s exhibition.

First-place winners on display at the Witt Stephens building were by Sarah Hargiss, fifth-grade; Braeden Kennedy, fourth-grade; Isaiah Pruitt, third-grade;

and Isabella Smith, first-grade. Secondplace honorees were Jessica Gibson, kindergarten; Jackson Revelle, secondgrade; and Alayna Brown, fourth-grade.

Third-place winners were Luis Moreno, kindergarten; Elijah Austin, first-grade; Dillon Brouse, secondgrade; Celine Franke, third-grade; and Ashley Henson, fourth-grade. Fourthplace was won by Clay Sebree, firstgrade; and Anthony Hall, fifth-grade.
