— Rogers businessman Darrell Bone is dead. His body was discovered in the back yard of a Stella, Mo., residence, according to Newton County, Mo., Sheriff Ken Copeland.

Bone, 54, was co-owner with Kent Rylee of Automotive Solutions in Rogers. He was a native of Pea Ridge and owned property in Pea Ridge as well as McDonald and Newton counties in Missouri.

Copeland said his office received a call about 9 a.m. Wednesday from a man who said a friend told him he had shot someone whose body was now in his backyard. Upon investigation, sheriff’s deputies found Bone’s body and took the resident, a 60-year-old man from 19348 MIssouri O in Stella into custody for second degree murder. Copeland said he is awaiting more information and a decision from the prosecutor, before releasing the name of the suspect.

Bone’s body has been sent to the Newton County coroner; an autopsy is scheduled.
