Incidents reported this week to the Pea Ridge Police Department include:
Three warrants served:
◊7/20 Guy Williams, 44, Rogers, contempt failure to pay fines and costs;
◊7/21 James Thorton, 22, Pea Ridge, failure to appear; and
◊7/22 Tyler Jackson, 17, Garfield, contempt failure to pay fines and costs.
Other incidents include: Wednesday, July 20
1:04 p.m. Dogs were reported running loose on McCulloch. The owner of the dogs, Misty McCollum, was located and cited for dogs at large.
7:23 p.m. Received a report of an unattended death at a residence on North Curtis Avenue. Stood by waiting for the coroner and funeral home.
Friday, July 22
12:19 p.m. Arrested Robert Berchtold, 62, Pea Ridge, for public intoxication.
9:10 p.m. Dispatched to a welfare check at EZ Mart for power outage, everything was determined to be okay.
Saturday, July 23
10:10 p.m. . A resident of Daniel Street reported suspicious circumstances.
The homeowner was having difficulty making entry into her house and was afraid it had been tampered with. Police assisted and determined it was safe for her to enter.
Sunday, July 24
3 a.m. Civil call on McNair Place in which the baby sitter answered the door to two men yelling and pounding on the door. It was determined one of the two men was her brother, whom she asked to leave. Police were unable to locate the men, who appeared to haveleft the area.
4:15 a.m. While checking City Park, discovered a man - Michael Roberts, 25, Pea Ridge - sleeping under a tree.
He was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Benton County Jail.
9:58 a.m. A man reported picking up a chocolate lab wandering around Dollar General. It was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.
2:40 p.m. A shoplifting was reported by an employee at Fred’s. The store representative declined to press charges as the item was returned and damages were paid for by the mother of one of the two boys who took the item. One of the boys was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center at the request of the probation officer.The boys were 12 and 13 years of age.
5:18 p.m. A 43-year-old woman reported being bitten by a raccoon at a residence on Mariano Road. She was taken to the hospital. Her husband unsuccessfully attempted to trap the animal.
5:30 p.m. Received a complaint about a vehicle abandoned in a yard. The property owner reported they had given permission for the vehicle to stay a short time while the owner of the vehicle arranged to pick it up, but it had been left too long. Police advised it was a civil matter and the property owner could have the vehicle towed.
2:45 p.m. Suspicious activity in which a residence on Hayden Road reported a dark cloud and rain only above her property. Police were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
