Pea Ridge Youth Softball annual business meeting

The Pea Ridge Youth Softball Board meeting and annual business meeting will be held at 6 p.m.

Monday, July 25, at the First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge.

Hard-working board members are needed. Elections will be held for the following board positions: board treasurer, league commissioner, board secretary, field management director, community relations director and general board members.

Existing board members, parents, coaches or softball fans may be elected. Persons interested in running for any of these positions or other positions which may be available, shouldattend the meeting on July 25. All elected board members are required to submit information for a background check. For more information for any of these positions, see the descriptions included in the PRYS bylaws which arein the documents section of the league website (www.weplay.com/groups/19146-Pea-Ridge-Youth-Softball).

Football Camp slated

Blackhawk football camp is set for 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 25, through Friday, July 29, at Pea Ridge High School. Designed for students from second through sixth grade, the camp will be led by Blackhawk coaches and players and is designed to teach fundamental drills in all areas of the game including offense, defense, special teams, weight-lifting, conditioning, agility, speed-work.

The cost is $50 per student. There will be a concession stand available for snacks during breaks and at the end of the day.

The final day will include competition involving a parent or older sibling of the campers.
