PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police recently include:

Two warrants served:

◊7/6 Clifford Mack, 22, Rogers, contempt failure to pay fines and costs;

◊7/14 Mario Mata, 16, Rogers, contempt failure to pay fines and costs;

5:41 p.m. Received a report of possibly fraudulent check cashed at Community First Bank from a bank in Berryville.

Thursday, July 7

8:15 a.m. An attempt to serve a warrant on a person at a residence on North Davis Street, resulted in a pursuit and a second person arrested. After a short foot pursuit, police arrested Stormie Castleman, 18, Pea Ridge, on a warrant from Pea Ridge, and on fleeing and resisting arrest. Her mother, Stephanie Weston, 38, Pea Ridge, was arrested for obstructing governmental operations.

1 p.m. Police arrested Ronald Goff, 47, Bentonville, for outstanding parole warrants, and Bradley Faught, 30, Pea Ridge, on Carroll County warrants.

Friday, July 8

9:30 a.m. Alarm, Community First Bank, accidentally set off by employee.

2:10 p.m. Report of a one-vehicle accident atWade Lane and South Curtis Avenue in which a vehicle hit a stop sign and drove off. The vehicle was located atWest Brush Creek and Arkansas Highway 94. The driver, Erin J.Turk, 40, Eureka Springs, was checked.

She was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

3 p.m. While on routine patrol, police noticed a Jeep on South Curtis Avenue being driven erratically. It was located at the Dollar General store on Slack Street. The driver, Erin Turk, 40, Eureka Springs, was arrested for public intoxication believed to be from inhaling with a compressed air can.

3 p.m. A resident on East Pickens Street reported a burglary in progress. Upon investigation, it was discovered that a former roommate/boyfriend of the resident had attempted to enter the residence but was gone upon the arrival of police.

9:15 p.m. Contacted by Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division concerning a 14-year-old girl as a victim of child abuse.

10 p.m. Verbal disturbance at Kings Lane apartments. Upon investigation, the report was discovered to be unfounded.

Saturday, July 9

5:30 p.m. Fayetteville police requested police check on a resident on Chitwood on whom the department had a warrant.

Police found and arrested Kara Kanetzky, 41, Pea Ridge, on a Fayetteville warrant.

8:20 p.m. Noise complaint about fireworks in the Eagle Crest area. Found people cleaning up trash from fireworks.

9:45 p.m. Noise complaint about fireworks in the Park Circle area. Unable to locate.

10 p.m. Complaint about fireworks, Washburn Street. Spoke to a group of individuals who agreed to stop shooting for the evening.

11:22 p.m. A resident on Washburn Street complained about a verbal disturbance in which someone was pounding on their back door and they found their neighbor who was apparently intoxicated and agitated complaining about their back porch light being on. Police attempted to make contact with the suspect, but no one answered the door at the residence.

11:25 p.m. Noise from fireworks in the Van Dorn area. Found people picking up trash from fireworks.

11:35 p.m. Disturbance at Kings Lane apartments. Determined to be unfounded.

Sunday, July 10

10:14 a.m. Check the welfare of a male ina parked vehicle on Nelson Court. Arrested Oscar Smith, 20, of Hindsville, for public intoxication.

11:05 a.m. A residential alarm on O.D.

Bancroft. Homeowner said he set it off accidentally.

4:40 p.m. Report of child abuse against a 7-year-old male involving the father picking up his son for visitation and noticing a red mark on the child’s leg. The investigation revealed that the child had been hit earlier in the day with a fly swatter.

7:50 p.m. A resident on West Pickens Street reported harassment by a boy in Bentonville phoning and texting his 15-year-old son. The complainant was advised to call Bentonville police as the suspect lived in Bentonville.

7:50 p.m. provided back up for a medical call on Lynn Drive.

8 p.m. The mother of a 5-year-old female reported there were red marks on her daughter when she picked her up from another residence.The matter was turned over to the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.

8:55 p.m. 911 hang-up call from a residence on South Curtis Avenue was determined to be a child had incorrectly dialed the number on the telephone.

Monday, July 11

12:25 a.m. An alarm at Fred’s, a representative responded and the building was secured.

2:31 p.m. A 38-year-old female resident on Asboth Street reported harassing communications from a persons in Kansas calling and texting obscene messages.

The police in Kansas were notified and the suspect was contacted.

5:51 p.m. An injured dog was found on South Curtis Avenue; it was taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:15 p.m. Alarm call at Fred’s; an employee had accidentally set off the alarm.

Tuesday, July 12

1:10 p.m. A welfare check at a residence on McRae Lane. The resident was voluntarily transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Wednesday, July 13

12:22 a.m. A disturbance at a residence on St. Clair Street in which the ex-husband was reportedly drinking alcohol and at the residence. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

12:26 a.m. A possible overdose reported at a residence atW.M.B. Franklin. Police stood by until ambulance personnel arrived.

4:55 a.m. Alarm at Arvest Bank, no representative was available, the building was secured.

8:20 a.m. Alarm at a residence on Hickory Street reporting window breakage.

Police did not find a broken window; the homeowner was notified. The building was secure.

5 p.m. A person reported to the police station about a child custody problem in which a 26-year-old woman claimed she could not get her child back from her 48-year-old mother, a resident on W.M.B.

Franklin Street. Police assisted. The child was returned.

10:30 p.m. Went to a residence on Harris Street in response to a request for a welfare check. Although police could see a woman inside the residence on the telephone, they could not get her to answer the door.

Thursday, July 14

2 a.m. Notified by an 18-year-old male that he had been harassed by calls and texts to his telephone by a male of unknown age.

The incident is under investigation.

11:54 a.m. Agency assist for Rogers Police relaying a message to a resident in the city accused of harassing communications towards a Rogers resident.The person was contacted and advised to stop and told charges would be filed if the incidentscontinued.

2 p.m. On routine patrol, stopped to check a man standing on Hayden Road and Ford Street. Discovered he was a door-todoor salesman and had warrants on him from Berryville. His boss was contacted and it was discovered they did not have a city business permit. They were told to cease sales contacts.

8:45 p.m. A dog attack was reported on Todd Circle involving a 75-year-old woman who was walking a small dog when she claimed a pit bull from a neighboring yard attacked them causing her to fall down.

Police took custody of the suspect dog and cited the owner, Joshua Courtney, 28, Pea Ridge, for dog at large.

9 p.m. A resident on Pike Street asked for police assistance to talk to her 14-year-old son who was threatening to run away.

11:35 p.m. While in the area of Fred’s, heard an audible alarm. The manager arrived and reset the alarm. The building was secured.

Friday, July 15

10 a.m. A Rogers resident complained that his children - a 15-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter - had left their mother’s house on Hallack Lane at 8 a.m.

Thursday and not been seen since. Police conducted an extensive investigation and search. Later that day, the youngsters returned home. The 15-year-old male was taken to the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.

11:50 a.m. Received a complaint of a dog at large in the Eagle Crest area. Police attempted to contact the owner. Police were not able to locate either the owner or the dog.

3:53 p.m. As the result of a traffic stop on Slack Street and Hallack Lane, police arrested Jeremy T. Ramsey, 23, Pea Ridge, on outstanding warrants for driving on a suspended driver’s license, speeding and cited for fictitious vehicle license and no insurance.

Saturday, July 16

9:47 a.m. Met a resident at the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic who had found a female boxer in the area of the ball fields on Weston Street. The dog was impounded at the vet clinic.

Sunday, July 17

9:23 a.m. Received a complaint from a resident of terroristic threatening and harassing communications in which the 52-year-old former boyfriend, supposedly from Missouri, was threatening to kill her and her family.

10:12 a.m. Assisted Little Flock police at a one-vehicle rollover accident on Arkansas Highway 94.

12:19 p.m. Alarm at Oak View Animal Hospital; met an employee who said the alarm was accidentally set off. The building was secured.

1:57 p.m. Alarm at Arvest Bank, no representative was available. The building was secured.

2:39 p.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge Intermediate School, North Davis Street. No representative was available. The building was secure.
