PEA RIDGE — The last sign-up time for youth football is 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 15, at City Park for second- through sixth-grade students.
The cost is $40 for second- and third-grade students and $50 for fourth- through sixth-grade students. The cost covers the jersey (which the players keep), helmet, shoulder pads and insurance. Parents provide black padded pants, cleats and chin-strap.
Practice will begin around Aug. 4. Second and third-grade athletes will play inner-city league.
Fourth- through sixth-grade athletes play through the Northwest Arkansas Youth Football League and will play four home and five away games.
