PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department this week include:

One warrant served:

◊6/30 William Earnest, 55, Springdale, contempt failure to pay fines and costs.

Other incidents include: Tuesday, June 28

5:56 a.m. A traffic stop on Arkansas Highway 72 West resulted in the arrest of Randy Moncibaiz, 35, Pea Ridge, for DWI, driving on a suspended driver’s license, refusal to submit and possession of drug paraphernalia.

4 p.m. A resident on Washburn Drive reported that over the past few days items he had discovered items missing from his residence. Items missing including a two-wheeled garden cart and a receiver hitch from his vehicle.

7:59 p.m. Requested by Benton County Sheriff’s Office to assist at a vehicle fire on Arkansas Highway 72 at TwelveCorners. While providing traffic control, about 20 minutes after arriving on the scene, police received a report from Central Communications of a stolen vehicle, which matched the vehicle on fire.

9:39 p.m. A resident on Washburn Drive complained about an aggressive dog at large.The owner of the dog was located as the dog had returned home. The dog ordinance was explained to the dog’s owner.

Wednesday, June 29

5:30 p.m. Contacted by a resident of Texas who stated that a check from her deceased father’s account had been written to the Dollar General store in town since his death and she was concerned that checks had been stolen. Theincident is under investigation.

8:54 p.m. Alarm at Alpha Omega Physical Therapy; business owner also responded; building secured.

Thursday, June 30

3:15 a.m. A resident on Todd Circle reported suspicious circumstances involving his dog barking and him discovering a man standing in his back yard.

When he investigated, the man jumped the privacy fence and ran away. He found the gate to his yard open and the doors on his pickup truck open. Several items were reported missing including a Cobra GPS, a laptop computer, a cell phone and a floor jack. The incident is under investigation.

3:35 p.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge Middle School. The gym door was found open. No representative was available.The building was otherwise secure.

8 p.m. Verbal disturbance at Kings Lane apartments. Upon arrival, police spoke to the subjects who said everything was fine. A second report by a neighbor was investigated and the complaint was again discovered to be unfounded.

Friday, July 1

12:45 a.m. A resident on South Davis Street reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the street. Upon talking to the owner of the vehicle, police determined that everything was fine.

Saturday, July 2

2:39 p.m. Assisted McDonald County, Mo., deputies in locating a 23-year-old white male from Pea Ridge in a vehicleon McRae Lane. He was taken to the police station for questioning. The driver of the vehicle in which he was found, Curtis Reynolds, 23, Seligman, Mo., was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license.

5:31 p.m. A two-vehicle accident on Hayden Road atWest Pickens Street was reported involving Joy Pankau, 45, Pineville, Mo., and Linda Flud, 59, Pea Ridge.There were no injuries reported.

Sunday, July 3

1:38 p.m. Alarm at Arvest Bank; no representative was available; the building was secure.

6:29 p.m. While on patrol on Arkansas Highway 265 North near Gates Lane, observed a blue four-wheel allterrain vehicle on the roadway.When police attempted to stop the vehicle, it sped away. After a short pursuit on the Jacket Road, police stopped the search.

7:39 p.m. A resident on Gen. Franz Siegel Road reported suspicious circumstances involving a garage door open on a residence the occupants of which had been out of town. Upon investigation, it was discovered the occupants had returned. They thanked police for their time.

9:50 p.m. Brush fire on Halleck Lane reportedly caused by fireworks. The fire was extinguished before police and fire personnel arrived.

10:02 p.m. A resident on Park Circle reported suspicious circumstances saying a male subject had been standing at her front door. Her neighbors confirmed someone in the area who claimed to be looking for a lost dog.

11:19 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported at Kings Lane apartments.

Both parties were interviewed andagreed to quiet their disagreement.

Monday, July 4

7:15 a.m. A welfare check at a residence on Washburn Drive; all persons were determined to be safe.

10 a.m. Alarm at Arvest Bank; no representative was available; the building was secure.

11:30 a.m. A purse which was found by a resident was dropped off at the fireworks stand operated by the Fire/ EMS Department. Fire personnel turned it over to police who unsuccessfully attempted to locate the owner.

7:30 p.m. A panic alarm at Marvin’s was discovered to have been accidentally activated.

8:30 p.m. While on patrol on Halleck Lane, observed a yellow dirt bike being driven on the road. Police attempted to stop the bike, but the driver hid behind a house.The bike was later located and towed to the police station. A citation for driving without a motorcycle endorsement and operating an off-road vehicle on a roadway was issued to a 13-year-old male from a residence on Kay Lynn Drive.

9:15 p.m. A small white dog was reported loose in the area of Rains and South Curtis Avenue. It was picked up and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:53 p.m. A resident of Nelson Court reported someone had discharged fireworks in their driveway and left debris.

The person was located.They agreed to clean up the mess.

11:45 p.m. A loose dog was reported on Todd Circle. Police located the owner, Luther Green, 40, of Pea Ridge, and cited him for dog at large.

Persons from northeast Benton County booked into the Benton County Jail this week include: Tuesday, June 28

8:50 a.m. Randy Lee Moncibaiz, 35, of Rogers was arrested by Pea Ridge Police for driving while intoxicated, driving while license canceled, suspended or revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and refusal tosubmit to intoxication test.

Friday, July 1

10:58 p.m. Kenneth John Woodward, 51, of Garfield was arrested by Rogers Police for possession of ephedrine and use or possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. He was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
