Karen Denise Baker

Karen Denise Baker, 50, of Rocky Comfort, Mo., died Jan. 23 at her home.

She was born Aug. 31, 1960, in Kansas City, Mo., to Guruest Theron Mitchell and Hazel Audrey Mcfadden Mitchell.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Natasha Deann McDonald.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll Baker of the home; two sons, Larry McDonald of Pea Ridge and Matthew McDonald and his wife, Talina, of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Serena McFann and her husband, Jack, of Rogers; two brothers, Gary Mitchell of Blue Jacket, Okla., and Scott Mitchell of Page, Ariz.;

a sister, Cathy Mitchell of Pineville, Mo., and 19 grandchildren.

A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan.

29, at the home of Matt McDonald, 1134 Charles St., Pea Ridge.

Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Jack Willard Garrett

Jack Willard Garrett, 72, of Gravette died Jan. 17, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born Oct.

2, 1938, in Siloam Springs to Ray C. and Della May Nickel Garrett.

He served as a sharpshooter in the Army, was a marble and stone mason and worked for the Benton County Road Department.

Survivors include three sons, Rodney Garrett and his wife, Sheila, of Canton, Texas, Kevin Garrett andhis wife, Brenda, of Garfield, and Andrew Garrett of Fayetteville; a daughter, Sheila Brewer and her husband, David, of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Raymond Garrett and his wife, Donna, of Gentry, Roy Garrett of Vaughn and Jerry Don Garrett and his wife, Ellie, of Bella Vista;

two sisters; and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Burial was in Springtown Cemetery.

Myrtle Louise Grover

Myrtle Louise Grover, 96, of Mountain View, Mo., formerly of Rogers, died Jan.

19. She was born Aug. 28, 1915, at Lapointe, Wisc., to Spencer and Susan (Jersey) Russell.

She was a longtime member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Rogers.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Grover of Avoca and Dennis Grover of Brighton, Ill.; three daughters, Dorothy Pierce and Mary Ann West, both of Mountain View, Mo., and Marjorie Bulger of Grants, N.M.; a sister; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Jan. 25, at Ruddick Cemetery near Garfield.

Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Peggy Louise Hall

Peggy Louise Hall, 80, of Pea Ridge, died Monday, Jan. 24, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Rogers to Loyd Wesley Stover and IvaGraham Stover.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Negel Hall; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include one son, Rick Hall and his wife, Jane, of Stella, Mo.; one sister, Betty Phillips of Seligman, Mo.; one grandchild;

and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.

26, at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge.

Shirley Jean Smith

Shirley Jean Smith, 74, of Garfield, died Jan. 18, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born in Lincoln, Neb., on June 4, 1936, to Frank and Margaret (Parrott) Kinnison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnie Smith; son, Rickey Smith; daughter, Jean Marie Smith; and several siblings.

Survivors include her children, John “Sparkie” Smith Jr. and his wife, Janice, Ronnie Lee Smith and his wife, Paula, Gail Ann Whitney and her husband, Robert, all of Garfield; a sister-in-law, Goldie Ruth Ernst and her husband, Fred, of Rogers; siblings, Frankie Kinnison, Dorothy Kinnison Shade, Patty Ann Gollin and Gary Gollin, all of Lincoln, Neb.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was Friday, Jan. 21, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 22, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Mark Andrew Williams

Mark Andrew Williams, 43, of Bentonville, died Jan.

16, at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born March 20, 1967, to Otis and Irmgard (Schueler) Williams in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He flew airplanes for Wal-Mart for almost 10 years. He married Laura (Gill) Williams on May 23, 1992, in Abilene, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Laura of the home; a daughter, Katie-Beth Williams; a brother Karl Williams and his wife, Carol, of Saginaw, Texas; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Friday, Jan. 21, at Benton County Funeral Home.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ with pastor Randall Caselman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made for benefit of William’s daughter, Katie-Beth c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, AR 72756.

Stephen R. Wilson Sr.

Stephen R. Wilson Sr., 56, of Gravette, died Jan. 23, 2011, at his home. He was born on July 25, 1954, to Arthur Wilson and Maxine Phillips (Rundell) in Joplin, Mo.

He was the loving husband of Charlean (Filbeck).

He was a supervisor for SM Lawrence and loved hunting, fishing and being with family and friends. He was a very loving and caring husband, father and friend.

He was preceded by his father; a brother, Jerry Wilson; and three sisters, Connie Wilson, Joyce Jordan and Vicki Tilley.

Survivors include two sons, Ted Wilson and Stephen Wilson Jr., and two daughters, Ashley Wilson and Jamie Wilson, all of Rogers; four brothers, Gil Tygart of Philadelphia, Pa., Leon Black of Rogers, Ark., David Wilson of Webb City, Mo., and Jerry Tygart of Rogers, Ark.; four sisters, Diane Atkinson of Jacket, Mo., Judy Payne of Garfield, Ark., Ruby Petty of Carthage, Mo., and Wanda Forgerty of Webb City, Mo.;

seven grandchildren; eight nieces; and six nephews.

Visitation is set for 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
