PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department this week include:

Two warrants served:

◊12/30 Bobby Treat Jr., 43, Springdale, contempt failure to pay fines and costs; and

◊1/2 Nathan Stines, 18, Pea Ridge, contempt failure to complete driver’s education course.

Other incidents include: Tuesday, Dec. 28

7:30 a.m. A dog with no collar was found running loose in the Standing Oaks subdivision; it was apprehended by a citizen. The reddish-brown dachshund was impounded at the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.

Wednesday, Dec. 29

5:30 a.m. An alarm call at Pea Ridge Junior High School, Weston Street. The building was checked and found to be secure.

6:50 a.m. An alarm call at Pea Ridge Junior High School, Weston Street. The building was checked and found to be secure.

11 a.m. A one-vehicle accident in the parking lot of the city Water Department, Slack Street, involving a vehicle driven by David Coleman, 22, Pea Ridge, striking the building. Coleman left the scene, was located and cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a driver’s license.

2:05 p.m. Fire alarm, Pea Ridge Inter mediate School, N. Davis St. Police were advised by maintenance personnel that they were working on the alarm and had advised the alarm company prior to the work.

1:30 p.m. A complaint of possible child abuse of a 3-year-old girl by a family member. The incident was investigated; no charges were filed.

3:46 p.m. A hit and run accident at the intersection of Hayden Road and Pickens Street involving a 2009 Mustang driven by Rhonda Sanasac, 45, Pea Ridge, being struck from behind by a pickup truck with Missouri license plates.

5:25 p.m. Received a report of one dog lying in the roadway and another standing nearby at the intersection of Slack Street and It’ll Do Road. Arrived on the scene at 5:33 p.m. and were unable to locate either dog.

6:06 p.m. A disturbance on Wood Street between an ex-wife and a husband.

9:39 p.m. A physical disturbance at a residence on John W. Montgomery Circle involving three males in a pickup truck causing a disturbance; all repor edly left before police arrived. The young men were located and their parents were notified.

10:14 p.m. Were notified of a BOLO (be on the lookout) by Bella Vista Police for a silver pickup truck which may have an intoxicated driver and may have been involved in an accident on Benton County 340 East. A silver Ford F-250 was located, stopped and information was given to Bella Vista Police.

10:22 p.m. A resident on Kings Lane reported a possible burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that a new tenant was moving into the apartment in question.

Thursday, Dec. 30

8:56 a.m. As the result of a traffic stop for speeding on Weston Street, the driver Travis Schmalz, 23, Pea Ridge, was cited for driving with no driver’s license. A search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia, which was later determined to belong to Heather Brewer, 40, Garfield, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

9 a.m. Received information from Bentonville Police of active warrants on NickLake, 20, Pea Ridge. Lake was arrested at his residence on South Curtis Avenue and transported to Bentonville Police.

Friday, Dec. 31

7:10 a.m. An alarm at the clubhouse of Big Sugar Golf Course. The building was checked and found to be secure.

7:30 a.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Junior High School, Weston Street. The building was checked and found to be secure.

6 p.m. Received a report from a resident on Asboth Street of a possible criminal mischief in which she believed at least one of the tires on her vehicle had been slashed.

Saturday, Jan. 1

9 a.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Junior High School, Weston Street. The building was checked and found to be secure.

12:30 p.m. Received a report of a burglary/theft from a resident on Washburn Drive.The resident reported that when he arrived home after having been out of town, he found a door ajar and many items missing, including computers, DVD players, DVDs, a Playstation3 and jewelry.

Sunday, Jan. 2

6:30 p.m. Were advised of barking dogs in the area of Patton and Bowen streets. Upon arrival, learned that a resident from the area had been outside with her dog and it caused the other dogs to bark.

Monday, Jan. 3

1:14 a.m. An agency assist to Benton County Sheriff’s deputies at a residence on Lucas Lane where a disturbance was reported. It was determined that one of the persons involved, Cynthia Rounds, 30, Pea Ridge, had outstanding warrants from both Pea Ridge and Rogers. She was arrested for contempt failure to pay fines and costs for Pea Ridge and taken to the Benton County Jail on the Rogers warrant.

2 a.m. Were advised that Gentry Police had Kong M. Kue, 24, Gentry, who had an outstanding Pea Ridge warrant for contempt failure to pay fines and costs.

8:07 a.m. An alarm at Pea Ridge Intermediate School, N. Davis Street.

The building was checked and found to be secure.

11:30 a.m. After receiving a complaint about a wreckless driver on North Curtis Avenue, police located the described vehicle and made a traffic stop on McNair Street. The driver, Travis Justin Jones, 31, Rogers, was arrested for criminal use of a prohibited weapon (felony), DWI, drugs, and possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance.

He was being held in the Benton County Jail Monday with no bond set.

Bentonville paramedics transported a person to northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, after a one-vehicle rollover accident on Arkansas Highway 94, one quarter of a mile north of McNelly Road. Monday, Jan. 3

8 p.m. A disturbance at a residence on Patterson Road resulted in the arrest of Kelley Marie Dockery, 50, Pea Ridge, for third degree assault on a family or household member, misdemeanor.
