Carol Jane Higginbotham

Carol Jane Higginbotham, 44, of Calhoun, Mo., died Dec. 26, 2010, at her home in Calhoun. She was born Dec. 28, 1965, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Mo., to Raymond Ellis Dorris and Jane Louise (Miller) Dorris.

On June 5, 2003, at the Calhoun Baptist Church, Calhoun, she married Don Lee Higginbotham, Jr.

Higginbotham was a 1984 graduate of Pea Ridge High School, Pea Ridge, Ark. She was a returns department manager at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Bentonville for 11 years.

She enjoyed gardening and growing things, being outdoors riding horses, and she loved visiting with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Don Lee Higginbotham Jr., of the home;

a son, Don L. Higginbotham, III, of the home; two daughters, Sarah M. Mc-Intyre, and Jane N. Fletcher, both of Pea Ridge; three brothers, Billy N. Dorris, Bentonville, and Thomas W. Dorris and Jeffery L.

Dorris, both of Calhoun, Mo.; two sisters, Bobbi R.

Barton, Calhoun, Mo., and Sandra Briggs, Windsor, Mo.; a grandson, Don L.

Higginbotham, IV, “on the way”; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was at 10 a.m.

Friday prior to the service.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 31,2010, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with pastor Margie Briggs officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the family for funeral expenses, and contributions may be left at the funeral home.

Lewis Lee Schooley

Lewis Lee Schooley, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Garfield, Ark., to John and Belle Schooley.

Lewis served in the Korean War and later retired from Koch Refining.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia Catherine Schooley; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathey and Greg Evans; a sister, sister, Rosemary Marquess of Garfield; grandchildren: Jason and Amanda Evans, Chad and Letty Evans, Ashley Evans, Mariah Colbert and Meagan Geddes; four great-granchildren, Alaina Evans, Jayden Evans, Elisha Evans and Kaya Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a niece, Barbara Brydle of Garfield.

Visitation was from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Memory Gardens.

A crypt-side service followed at 2 p.m. Monday.

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. Monday at his church, Trinity Worship Center, Corpus Christi, at 6p.m. Monday, Jan. 3.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry of Trinity Worship Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Lillie Irene Waddell

Lillie Irene Waddell, 97, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Heritage ParkNursing Home in Rogers. She was born Aug. 5, 1913, at Gentry to Marshall Gosney and Delphi Harrington Gosney.

She was a World War I widow, and lived in the area all of her life.

She was preceded indeath by her parents; her husband, Winston Waddell; two brothers, Gene and Hank Gosney; and three sisters, Ina Amos, Creola Hicks and Easter Noblitt.

Survivors include three sons, Pat Waddell and his wife, Nellie, of Rogers, Stan Waddell and his wife, Joyce, of Rogers, and Lon Waddell and his wife, Connie, of Erie, Colo.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge.

Service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial was in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers.
