The February meeting of the Pea Ridge PTA was postponed due to snow.

Graduates of Pea Ridge High School, Wayne Laughlin and his wife, the former Beulah McKinney, hosted exchange student Rita Alza of Trujillo, Peru.

The Pea Ridge National Military Park announced that 96,207 people had visited the park in 1965, which was an increase of 40 percent over 1964.

Garfield kindergarten students John Cook, Robbie Taylor, Kevin Roberts, Margaret Bray and Randy Gauwain made a poster entitled, Kindergarten Helps to Keep Our World Clean.

Arkansas turkey growers produced a record high 14.5 million turkeys in 1980.

The Pea Ridge junior girls basketball team wrapped up the season with a record of 11-1 in the conference. Members of the team included Stephanie Wright, Tonya Wilkins, Robin Williams, Angela Aubrey, Tracey Buck, Gail Dean, Marla Gastineau, Kristi Hileman, Melissa Webb, Audra Saylor, Debbie Wilson, Susan Wenzel, Amy Wilkerson,Brenda Webb, Connie Moore, Terri Davis, Lisa Webb and Wendy Wilkerson.

Denise Patterson, sophomore at Pea Ridge High School, was named Colors Day queen. She was the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Gerald Patterson.

Ruth Talburt and Stanley Williams were among members of the Beta Alpha Sorority who picked up debris along Arkansas Highway 72.

Talburt, a 1982 graduate of Pea Ridge High School, re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Shannon Cooley, daughter of Doug andJane Cooley, took advantage of a warm weekend to wash her car.

Dale Epperson, business teacher, became the technology coordinator at the Pea Ridge school.

According to Epperson, three years ago, Pea Ridge schools had 18 computers connected to a network. Now there are 240 and more being added as he and his class get them repaired.

Members of the class include: Keni Simpson, Adam Guck, Mat Horton, Justin Graham and Joey Smith.

Colors Day king and queen were Priscilla Putzier and Brandan Graham. Members of thecourt included senior maid, Melissa Woods;

junior maids - Kari Fletcher, Ericha Nichols and Ashley Glass; sophomore maids - Kristy Marlow, Melanie Roller, Megan Blevins, Lindsay Kelly, Michele Wilks and Kelsey Young.

Michael Brown has replaced Melissa Brown as pharmacist at Collier Drug in Pea Ridge.

The Pea Ridge Extension Homemakers Club needed help to save the E.H. Building in downtown Pea Ridge. They were looking for people to help fix the roof, eaves and windows. Beta Alpha pledged to help with the renovations of the building.
