Granny’s Quilts of Love
Granny’s Quilts of Love met Jan. 18 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, Pea Ridge. There were 12 members present.
The cutting meeting with 210 quilt kits cuts was followed by a short business meeting. To date, 11,085 quilts have been sent to Arkansas Chirldrens’ Hospital. Discussion was held on what to do with 14 bolts of Hannah Montana fabric.
It was agreed to have Alice Henson cut quilt kits.
Members discussed the possibility of having a teaching and recruitment day to inform the community about how the club members make quilts and to encourage more people to participate in sewing. The tentative date for this event is 10 a.m - 12 p.m. Saturday, March 19.
A brief discussion was held regarding the auction for next August. Membersplan to prepare the meal.
The next meeting is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb.

Bella Vista Nyte Tyme Quilters will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at the United Lutheran Church on the corner of Cooper and Highway 279. Retha Kiphen will be doing a program on triangles, flying geese, etc.
