DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

February is pet dental health month.

More than 68 percent of all pets over the age of 3 have some form of periodontal or dental disease.

Once periodontal disease starts, the degenerative changes cannot be reversed. Bacteria associated with periodontal disease can damage the kidneys, liver and heart, as well as other organs.

Daily home dental care is essential to oral health and longevity. Tartar and calculus accumulation is the most common cause of dental disease.

Contact Oak View Animal Clinic at 451-1048 to schedule a dental checkup at a discounted fee during the month of February.
