Incidents reported to the Pea Ridge Police Department recently include: Tuesday, Jan. 18

6:15 p.m. Police were contacted by parents of a 14-year-old girl who had been contacted by an adult male via Facebook on the Internet who made several comments in reference to sex.

The investigation led to the arrest of Jerry Tygart, 29, Rogers, on a felony warrant for sexual indecency with a minor, harassing communications, fleeing and a probation violation.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

1 p.m. A theft was reported by a resident on N. Arkansas Hwy. 94. The man reported that he received a phone call from someone claiming to be his grandson and saying he was in jail in Spain and needed money to get out. There multiple telephone calls over several days resulting in the man sending a total of $15,000 to unknown persons under the belief it was his grandson.

6 p.m. Hit and run accident reported by Gail Robinson, 51, of Pea Ridge, who said she was stopped on Slack Street at It’ll Do Road waiting for the person in front of her to turn when she was rear-ended by a small black truck which backed up, turned around and left the scene. The vehicle will have extensive front-end damage and red paint transfer.

7:40 p.m. Received a report of two males going door to door selling merchandise. The men were contacted and advised of a city ordinance prohibiting such sales without a permit. They agreed to leave.

Thursday, Jan. 20

6:11 p.m. Received a report of a dachshund running loose in the area of Hayden Road. The dog was located and taken to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Sunday, Jan. 23

3:51 a.m. Received an animal complaint from a resident on McCulloch Street.

Upon investigation, police cited Courtney Bartholemew, 32, Pea Ridge, for dogs at large.

10:52 a.m. A 16-year-old male of Bentonville reported he had been at an under-age drinking party at a residence at 621 W. Pickens Street, Pea Ridge, and was unable to locate his iPhone and believed it had been stolen by another person attending the party.

4:05 p.m. Casey Owens, 18, Rogers, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license/suspended for DWI, as a result of a traffic stop.

7:40 p.m. A resident on Gen. Franz Siegel Drive reported a 2-year-old boy missing. Pea Ridge police were assisted by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies. The child was found safe in the house.

Monday, Jan. 24

4:13 p.m. Physical disturbance at a residence on N. Curtis Ave. involving a male and female. The female reported that shewanted to leave the residence and was being held against her will, but no one wanted to press charges.

8:15 p.m. A resident on West Loop reported theft saying he saw people removing items from his neighbor’s garage. The property owner was contacted and said he did not want to make a report, although about $600 worth of items was taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 25

7:40 a.m. Police saw several juveniles smoking across the street from the high school. Police confiscated the tobacco and took two of the juveniles - both 16-year-old boys on probation - to the probation office in Bentonville on the advice of their probation officer.

12:46 p.m. Eric Moran, 39, Springdale was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license, suspended for DWI, as the result of a traffic stop on East Pickens.

7:28 p.m. Called to a residence on McNair Place to check the welfare of a resident, police arrested a 63-year-old white male for disorderly conduct.

4:33 p.m. Suicidal subject at a residence on Chitwood Street. Officers determined that there was no viable threat and .37-year-old white male...

6:30 p.m. Stray dog reported near the retirement home on Wade Lane. Police picked up the black and white spotted dog and transported it to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Wednesday, Jan. 26

8 a.m. A minor accident at Pea Ridge High School involving John Botson, 17, Pea Ridge, and Deborah Morris, 53, Pea Ridge. It was reported that Botson said he could not see through the frost on his windshield and struck the vehicle driven by Morris.

11:50 a.m. Received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver leaving the downtown area. Stopped the suspect driving a red pickup truck on Slack Street and arrested Monte Holt, 59, of Pea Ridge for DUI.

6:12 p.m. Chris Doran, 38, Pea Ridge, was cited for discharging a firearm in the city limits.

11:37 p.m. Received a report of a physical disturbance at a residence on N. Curtis Avenue. This was the second such report in two days, but the parties involved did not want to press charges.

Thursday, Jan. 27

2:34 a.m. Requested by Little Flock Police to back them up in an investigation at a disturbance.

1:08 p.m. Pea Ridge High School... in reference to a issue with a 17-year-old white male.. who, after being taken toPolice Department and questioned with his mother present, was transported to Benton county Juvenile Detention Center with a charge of felony terroristic threatening.

3:39 p.m. A disturbance at a residence on Park Circle between 15-year-old white male and his mother. The investigation led to the arrest of the juvenile for terroristic threatening. He transported to the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.

5:40 p.m. A welfare check at a residence on Frost Street after a pizza delivery person said that while trying to deliver a pizza to the residence, the resident passed out and fell to the ground. When police arrived, theresident was up and appeared to be intoxicated.

7:30 p.m. As a result of checking a suspicious vehicle behind the White Oak Station, Bobby Hamilton, 31, of Garfield, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license/DWI.

9:03 p.m. Physical disturbance on John W. Montgomery Circle. Upon arrival two females fled the residence. After a short foot pursuit, Barbara King, 21, of Gentry, was arrested for public intoxication, fleeing and possession of an instrument of crime. And Melissa Lacey, 28, Pea Ridge, was arrested for public intoxication, fleeing and obstruction of governmental operations.

Friday, Jan. 28

6:14 p.m. A resident that his 1995 Subaru Legacy had been damaged sometime between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

while parked at a residence on Chitwood Street. He reported the damage to be worth $800.

Saturday, Jan. 29

2:21 p.m. A one-vehicle accident involving Joshua Wise, 29, Pea Ridge, who said he was westbound on Slack Street and attempting to pass another westbound vehicle when the other vehicle stopped to turn left. In avoiding the collision, Wise hit a fence.

Sunday, Jan. 30

2:30 p.m. Residents of South Harvey Wakefield Street reported that a 5-yearold boy was bitten by a dog which was running loose. Police contacted the owner of the dog, confirmed all current vaccinations and cited the owner for dog at large.

12:29 p.m. A one-vehicle accident on Eagle Crest Street involving Zheng Songwei, 27, a male, who apparently ran over his neighbor’s mailbox while parking.

7:30 p.m. Emily Wolf, 30, of Seligman, Mo., was arrested on warrants from Rogers and Bentonville, as the result of a traffic stop on Lee Town Road.

2:53 p.m. David Lee Martinez, 19, Garfield, arrested by Rogers Police on contempt warrants from Rogers and Centerton and attempted murder charges from Rogers.

4:48 p.m. Erika Beaman, 20, Pea Ridge, by Pea Ridge Police on four warrants for contempt from Bentonville, Rogers and Pea Ridge as well as failure to appear from Bentonville.

Wednesday, Jan. 26

12:53 p.m. Rory Dane Drummond, 41, Centerton, by Bentonville, on warrants from Benton County, Rogers, Bentonville and Pea Ridge.

4:36 p.m. Lyle Russell White, 33, Pea Ridge, by Benton County Sheriff’s Office, delivery of a controlled substance.

Monday, Jan. 31

3:05 a.m. James L. Kirkland, 48, Avoca, was arrested by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies for domestic battering in the third degree and public intoxication, both misdemeanors.
