Readers of The Times of Northeast Benton County can help students in need in school districts in Benton, Madison and Washington counties with a donation to the Community Christmas Card fund, which is sponsored by NWA Media. As of Friday, the fund had $3,580.
Individuals may mail or deliver donations to any NWA Media office, including both daily and weekly newspapers.
Donors can designate which local school district receives the money. Individuals also can donate online at nwaonline.com/christmascard or mail donations to: NWA Media, c/o Community Christmas Card, P.O. Box 7, Springdale, AR 72765. Checks should be made to Endeavor Foundation/Community Christmas Card.
In Pea Ridge, checks may be delivered to The Times office at 981 N. Curtis Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondaythrough Thursday or mailed to The Times, P.O. Box 89, Pea Ridge, AR 72751. Be sure to designate which school district is to receive the funds.
The names of individuals donating $2 or more will be printed in a full-page Christmas card published in the Dec. 25 edition of the newspaper. Individuals also may make donations on behalf of someone else.
Donations to the Community Christmas Card are taxdeductible and are dispersed to the schools through the Endeavor Foundation.
