GARFIELD — New Meadowbrook Home Extension Club of Garfield, met Wednesday, Aug. 10, for their annual picnic. The members and guests met at the home of Roxie and Jim Geddie.

Seven members were present with nine guests for a potluck meal.

President Selena Williams called a short meeting with information as to the Benton County Fair and members discussed upcoming events.

Desserts are to be broughtto the NEBCO Fund Raiser Turkey Shoot, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1.

There was discussion of the volunteering at Garfield Elementary School and donating to God’s Pantry. Selena also had material that she received that will be made into baby quilts for Willow Creek Women’s Hospital.

Some members took fabric home to complete quilts.

The next meeting will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at First Baptist Church in Garfield. Anyone is welcome to join.
