Pea Ridge Historical Society

The August Meeting has moved a week later to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.

We have been working out arrangements for a visit to the recently discovered and renovated 1860s Schoolhouse located at 306 N.W. 2nd St. in Bentonville (near Old High). The Benton County Historical Society has made the Schoolhouse their Historical Society headquarters.

Members should plan to meet at the museum in Pea Ridge at 6 p.m. that evening to put together carpools.

We should arrive at The Schoolhouse at about 6:25 p.m. and begin our tour at 6:30. Our own Pea Ridge native Leah Whitehead is the current president of the Benton County Historical Society. Leah will be our hostess and tour guide for the evening.
