PEA RIDGE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Incidents reported to Pea Ridge Police this week include:

Two warrants served:

◊8/8 Kami Payton, 23, Pea Ridge, contempt failure to pay fines and costs; and

◊8/9 Colby Clarson, 36, Pea Ridge, contempt failure to pay fines and costs.

Other incidents include: Monday, Aug. 8

7 a.m. Dogs running loose on Slack Street and Ellis Lane. Police were unable to locate, but were told of a dog running loose on Barris Lane. The dog was found;

the owner, Christina Rohman, 53, Pea Ridge, was cited for dogs at large.

11:38 a.m. A reckless driver was reported on South Curtis Avenue near Carden Street. Police were unable to locate.

1:27 p.m. An abandoned vehicle on North Harvey Wakefield was towed due to its location on the roadway.

3 p.m. A white female approached the clerk at the White Oak Station and left her driver’s license in lieu of cash, promising to return to pay for her gasoline. As of Tuesday, she had not returned to pay for the fuel purchase.

Tuesday, Aug. 9

8:45 a.m. A welfare check on a resident on Lynn Drive on a possibly suicidal 61-year-old white male, resulted into taking him into protective custody due to both his condition and that of his residence.

1:09 p.m. A motor-vehicle accident on East Harris in which a garbage truck driven by Kyle L. Pembleton, 34, Gravette, attempted to move to the right on the narrow roadway as a Dodge Ram approached from the opposite direction. The garbage truck struck some limbs, damaging a tree. The pickup truck was damaged by limbs from the tree.

Employees from the Street Department were notified to cut down the tree.

3:02 p.m. A resident on Patterson Road reported mail had been taken from her mailbox and thrown on the ground. The investigation revealed that a neighbor’s mailbox had also been tampered with.

Wednesday, Aug. 10

2:43 p.m. Gas drive-off atWhite Oak Station involving a female paying for $20of gas and then pumping $40 worth.

12:30 p.m. A motor-vehicle accident on East McNelly Drive atTommy Hawks Road with possible injury. Police stood by until Benton County Sheriff’s deputies arrived.

3:55 p.m. A resident of Hickman Road reported the theft of jewelry possibly by her step-daughter four to five years ago.

4:55 p.m. A disturbance in front of Garden Apartments, East Pickens Street, between two females resulted in the arrest of Marsha Michalski, 37, Pea Ridge, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Thursday, Aug. 11

1 p.m. A resident on South Curtis Avenue reported a fraud in which she received a $20,000 check with instructions to cash the check and send back $17,999, keeping the remainder. The resident reported receiving several phone calls from someone on a phone with a Jamaican area code urging her to cash the check.

7:33 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop on Hayden Road, arrested William Fair, 32, Seligman, Mo., for driving on a suspended driver’s license, DWI and refusal to submit; Fatima Thompson, 49, Garfield, for public intoxication; and Paul Cline, 33, Bentonville, public intoxication.

Friday, Aug. 12

2:30 a.m. A traffic stop on North Harvey Wakefield at O.D. Bancroft resulted in the arrest of Christopher Jackson, 21, Pea Ridge, for DWI. While on the scene, police were notified of a reckless driver who had run the stop sign at It’ll Do Road and Arkansas Highway 94, run off the road, through the ditch and continued north on Hwy. 94. The reported vehicle matched the description of the vehicle Jackson was driving and the damage to Jackson’s vehicle, a silver four-door Honda Civic, was consistent with the report of the incident.

3:50 p.m. A resident on Woods Street reported his ex-wife was at his residence.

She was asked to leave and issued a trespass warning.

9 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, arrested Travis Schmalz, 23, Bentonville, for driving on a suspended driver’s license and on a warrant from Rogers police, and Cody Stetson, 28, Tulsa, on a Benton County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

11:58 p.m. While conducting a check point on Arkansas Hwy. 94 in conjunction with Little Flock Police, arrested Mario Hernandez, 25, Pea Ridge, for open container and a failure to appear warrant from Springdale. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

Saturday, Aug. 13

9:46 a.m. Received a report of loose dogs on Frost Street. Police found three terriers (two of which were puppies) and took them to the Pea Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

10:20 a.m. Alarm at Pea Ridge Middle School. A representative responded. The building was secure.

12:10 p.m. Received a report of a person going door-to-door in the area of West Pickens Street, but were unable to locate. Later, police located a vehicle matching the description and made a traffic stop on Dodge Street. Police cited the driver, Andrea Fleissigoua, 21, Bentonville, for driving without a driver’s license.The vehicle was towed.

12:29 p.m. A residential burglar alarm at a residence on South Curtis Avenue. No representative was available.The building was secure.

11 p.m. A resident on Pike Street reported criminal mischief involving a 30-inch scratch in the passenger door of a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country van.

Sunday, Aug. 14

1:14 p.m. A physical disturbance was reported at a residence on Wade Lane.

Police spoke with both parties, there was no evidence of physical harm. The male agreed to leave while the female moved out.

7:30 p.m. A 10-year-old boy was bitten by a dog after he reached over a fence into the yard where the neighbor’s dog was at a residence on Patton Street. He was taken to the hospital and received stitches. The dog’s owner was asked to provide proof of vaccinations.

9:32 p.m. A resident on North Curtis Avenue reported harassing phone calls.

10:36 p.m. A resident on North Curtis Avenue reported harassment.

Monday, Aug. 15

5 a.m. Alarm at the Intermediate School. School employees were on site.

The alarm was reset.
