Granny’s Quilts of Love

— Granny’s Quilts of Love met July 19 at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Margie Crowder conducted the meeting.

As of July, the total number of quilts made is 12,110, pillows 3,222 and hats 1,629.

Sign up sheets were passed around for different duties to work at the dinner and auction Aug.

27 at the Pea Ridge High School cafeteria. The dinner is from 5-7 p.m. and the auction will be from 6:30-9 p.m. The dinner menu will be spaghetti, salad, roll, homemade dessert and drink. Carry-out orders will be available. The price is $6 adults and $4 for children, 2 and under are free.

Also, there will be raffle tickets to purchase at the door on a chance to win a Razorback Bar-B-Que grill or a 47” Vizio E-Series LCD HD Flatscreen TV.

Tickets are $1 each or 6for $5. The drawing will be Aug. 27. Tickets may be purchased at Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge. Tickets holders do not need to be present to win.

The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug.
