Third suspect arrested for sexual abuse

— Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested a third suspect stemming from a sexual abuse investigation.

Christopher Michael Carr, 34, of Rogers was arrested Thursday, April 6, in connection with sexual indecency with a child, a Class D felony. Carr turned himselfin at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

He is being held in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. Carr’s younger brother - Thomas Patrick Carr - was arrested March 25, in connection with the rape of two girls.

Thomas Carr, 29, of Garfield, was arrested in connection with two counts of rape and two counts of producing, directing or promoting a sexual performance.

He was also arrested in connection with a misdemeanor charge of beastiality.

He is being held in the county jail on $500,000 bond. Christy Marie Carr, 28, of Garfield, was arrested in connection with permitting the abuse of a minor, a Class B felony. She was arrested March 29, and was released from jail two days later on $5,000 bond. Prosecutors have not yet filed formal charges against anyof the three.

Investigators Kenneth Paul and Wes Bryant, with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, were assigned to investigate a case March 25, concerning the sexual abuse of a 6-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Paul said he did not expect to make any more arrests in connection with the case.
