PEA RIDGE — The Pea Ridge High School cross country team faced local teams at a meet in Holiday Island Sept. 18.

The senior boys placed first in the 4A/5A division 5K run, with Evan Tillman medalling for 13th place with a time of 19:30 and Colton Holtgrewe medalling in 20th place with a time of 20:11.

Junior high runner Rilee Patrick took an eighth place medal in the two-mile, with a time of 15:28.

At an earlier meet Sept.

11, the teams met in Elkins where the senior boys took second place overall in the 5K event. Tillman placed 12th with a time of 20:14, Holtgrewe came in 17th with a time of 20:50, and Levi Roughton placed 19th with atime of 21:04.

Senior runner Kim Cribbs placed third in the senior girls 5K with a time of 24:19.

Patrick placed second in the two-mile with a time of 14:03, while junior high boy runners Justin Stamps and Logan Rose placed 12th and 13th, respectively, with two-mile finish times of 13:27 and 13:34.
